Nagpur: A cook of a girls’ school in Koradi has been booked on the charges of sexually harassing and molesting minor girl students.
The heinous acts of the accused cook Jamir Bapatti (30), native of village Pankheda, Washim but presently residing in Bokhara, Koradi, came to the fore when the Education Officer along with other officials visited the school for inspection. During the interaction with the resident girl students, some of them told the Education Officer that the accused cook Jamir Bapatti indulged in sexual harassment and molestation of the minor girls. The girl students lodged oral and written complaints with the visiting officials stating that the accused indulged in the vulgar acts during the period before 21.12.2016.

After receiving complaints from the girl students, the Education Officer registered a case with Koradi police in this regard. WPSI Khobragade has booked the accused cook Jamir Bapatti under section 354(A) of the IPC read with 7, 8, 11, 12 of Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act 2012 and launched investigations.
