It appears the assurance by Shiv Sena Chief Uddhav Thackeray given to Shahrukh Khan for smooth release of his upcoming movie Raees fails to make desired impact on party’s regional level workers. The Shiv Sena leaders have sent across a threatening letter to distributors, warning them of consequences if they are to go ahead with the release.
Akshaye Rathi, a leading distributor, was sent a letter from the political party’s Chhattisgarh wing.
Rathi has posted a copy of this letter on his Twitter account saying – Dear @AUThackeray,
We have received this threat letter from your Chhattisgarh unit against playing @iamsrk’s #Raees. Do you endorse it?
The Chhattisgarh distributor has been trying to bring the issue to the notice of the Sena youth wing president Aaditya Thackeray.
Earlier, when Shah Rukh Khan met MNS chief Raj Thackeray to clarify that Pakistani actress Mahira Khan wouldn’t be appearing for Raees’s promotion, the party had promised him to cause no trouble.
