Nagpur: New Kamptee police have booked two con men on the charges of cheating a man to the tune of Rs 15 lakh in landed property deal.
The complainant Pravesh Vinodkumar Bodhala (30), resident of Telephone Exchange Square, Nagpur, had purchased a plot situated at Khasra No. 105/2, Mauza Ranala, for Rs 15 lakh from accused Soyeb Ashrad Shakeel Ahmed (31) of Kalamna in 2010. Subsequently, Pravesh made the payment to the accused Soyeb through a cheque over a period till 2016.
However, when Pravesh went to the said plot for inspection and possession, he was shocked to find the same plot was also sold to Neeraj Kishorekant Soni (40) of Karnalbagh. The two accused seemed to have connived with each other and cheated Pravesh to the tune of Rs 15 lakh.
