Nagpur News : Dhantoli Police have booked two ex Government employees V G Parate and K R Katange, working with Food and Drug Administration Department, for misusing their powers. According to police, Parate and Katange allegedly misplaced 187 bags of rice worth Rs 2.32 lakh from Unit 6 and 906 bags of rice worth Rs 11.25 lakh from Unit 1 respectively earlier August 9, 2012. They are charged of duping the department with Rs 13.57 lakh.
Ashok Kumar Waswan (57), Manager, Food and Drug Administration Department, discovered that sme bags are missing. After confirming that a huge number of bags are missing, he lodged a complaint with Dhantli Police Station against Parate and Katange, informed Senior PSI Shinde. The police have registered a case under IPC Sec 409. Further investigations are on.
