Nagpur: Taking a lead, Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) on Wednesday announced the first list of 12 candidates for the February 21 NMC poll. The list finds three sitting Corporators — Duneshwar Pethe, RajuNagulwar, Kamil Ansari — among 12 candidates.
NCP is in the fray on solo as NCP broke the 10 years old alliance with Congress party and decided to contest all 151 seats on its own with other smaller parties.
The party has given ticket to former Corporator Vedprakash Arya from ward 1 (D), Varsha Shamkule from ward 7 (A), Mahendra Bhange from ward 7 (D),KamilAnsari from ward8(B),PriyaRajesh Atram from ward 20 (B),Swapanil AnilAhirkar from ward 20 (K), Duneshwar Pethe from ward 23 (K), Sukhdev Wanjari from ward 31 (D), Vilas Thakre from ward 32 (A), Meena Pravin Kunte from ward 32 (B), Jaya Ashok Katle from ward 32 (K), and Raju Nagulwar from ward 32 (D).
The party has given ticket to the wife of Pravin Kunte Patil and former corporator Ashok Katle while son of Anil Ahirkar also got ticket in the civic body election.
