Nagpur: Three men attempted to murder a youth by attacking him with bricks over consumption of beer in Ramnagar area here on Sunday night. Two of the accused assaulters have been arrested. The victim youth with head and face injuries is being treated in Dande Hospital at Ravinagar Square.
The three accused Basant Jagdish Dagoria (23), resident of Rajnagar, PWD Complex, Jitu Dagor, resident of Mariyam Nagar and Nikhil Vijay Bohot (31) of Jainagar objected to consumption of beer by the victim Akshay Manohar Bambode (22), resident of Pandharabodi. Akshay was drinking beer in front of Gupta Beer Shoppi situated at LIT Road, near Shiv Mandir, Chhota Ramnagar around 8.45 pm on Sunday.
The wordy duel soon took an ugly turn when the three accused attacked Akshay with bricks and inflicted grievous injuries on his face and head. The intention of the accused trio was to kill Akshay. After the assault, the accused fled the spot. A profusely bleeding Akshay was rushed to nearby Dande Hospital at Ravinagar Square where his condition is stated to be serious.
On the basis of a complaint lodged by Shubham Gopal Kanojiya (22) of Pandharabodi, Ambazari API Y T Netam has booked the three accused under Sections 307, 34 of the IPC and succeeded in arresting two of the accused Basant Dagoria and Nikhil Bohot. A search to nab the third accused is on.
