Nagpur News: AG Thiruvananthpuram, Karala defeated Kolkata by a solitary goal to win IA & AD Football Tournament which concluded at Chhatrapati Shivaji Stadium, Police Line Takli on Friday.
Although the final encounter was not high scoring, both the teams showed lot of skills.
In the first half both the teams created lot of moves and launched a series of attacks but could not convert them into goal.

In the second half Kerala team clearly looked more determined and attacking.
When they got the chance on free kick just out of D area, their star player Midhun Wilvet didn’t make any mistake and slammed the goal through the players wall to the right corner of goal post.
That goal ultimately proved match winner.
Later he was declared man-of-the-match. Somnath Aich of West Bengal was adjudged as best player of the tournament.
The trophy and prizes were given away by commissioner of police Kaushal Kumar Pathak. Accountant general P A Ratnaparkhi along with Accountant General Yashwant Kumar, principal director Bhawani Shankar, Accountant General SM Jog, deputy accountant Generals S.C. Singla and Dr. Vishal Chaware, welfare officers D. Varghese and A.R. Deshpande were also present on the occasion.
