Contractor booked for digging road without Traffic police permission

The Traffic Branch Chamber-2 has initiated action against a contractor on the charges of carrying out road digging work without permission.

The accused contractor named A R Singh was found digging the road between in front of National Fire College Academy near Mental Hospital Square for laying drinking water pipeline and cable without permission from Traffic police. The contractor had carried digging up to 3000-4000 metres of road and posed hurdles to smooth flow of traffic. As the fact came to the notice of DCP (Traffic) Ravindrasingh Pardeshi, he ordered Beat Officer PSI Amar Gaidhane of Traffic Branch Chamber-2 to initiate action against the contractor A R Singh.

Following the order, PSI Gaidhane filed a complaint with Mankapur Police Station in this regard. Acting on the complaint, Mankapur cops booked the erring contractor A R Singh under Section 283 of the IPC and investigating the matter further.
