King’s College Hospital to invest 1000 crore in Nagpur

London based internationally renowned King’s College Hospital, will soon be investing One thousand crore rupees in the SEZ Mihan area of the city. The King’s College Hospital, NHS Foundation Trust and Indo-UK Health-care Pvt. Ltd plan to open 11 new hospitals in various areas of the country under which one 1,000-bed hospital would be opened in Mihan. The pact, for the project, was signed during Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to England with former Prime Minister of England, David Cameron.

The project has been started under the National Health Scheme of the Central Government for which the latter has granted one hundred and fifty acres of land. According to the officers in Mihan, the company will be paying around one hundred and ten crore rupees for the land in upcoming one month. The people of the country, who were compelled to visit foreign countries and pay a fortune for treatments which were not available in the country, will now be benefitted by the construction of the ultra-modern hospitals in the country anticipated to bring a huge transformation in health services of the nation.

According to the pact, the college will also construct hospitals in Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Madhya Pradesh, Haryana and Karnataka.
