Nagpur: Agitated over Indo-China standoff, RSS’s ‘Swadeshi Jagran Manch’, has written to the Prime Minister’s Office, demanding to curb any commercial exchange with the ‘Chinese Dragon’. Members of the organisation are protesting against factory of China Railway Rolling Stock soon to be established in city for Metro construction works. Confronting the administration, members are, currently, persuading people to oppose the same. However, they have also presaged to conduct a hard-line protest, given that, there demands are not met.
Ajay Patki, Chairman, Akhil Bhartiya Vichar Vibhag informed that a memorandum has been submitted to PMO in regard of the disapproval. “We are protesting against the establishment of China Railway Rolling Stock’s factory in the city. We will not let the same happen at any cost”, he said. “We have already written to PMO to stop the progress of this agreement. We are optimistic that our demands will be heard and acted upon”, he added.
The state government had made an agreement with China on 15th August, 2016 in Nagpur. According to the pact, China Railway Rolling Stock will be investing Rs. 1500 crore in the construction of Metro. The company is to provide the Metro train compartments and also maintain the same. However, according to the demands put forward by Swadeshi Jagran manch, the contracted must be dissolved and given to any indigenous company.
