Nagpur: Life of a teenage boy was sniffed out tragically when a recklessly driven water tanker hit his two-wheeler on Besa Power House Ring Road on Thursday evening. The driver of the water tanker has been arrested.
The tragedy occurred when the deceased Jitesh Shridhar Nagrale (18), resident of Besa Nagar, Jogeshwar Society, Umred Road, was going on his moped (MH-31/BT 5126) around 5 pm on Thursday. As Jitesh was crossing the road from Besa Power House to Ashirwad Nagar, the rashly driven water tanker (MH-49/C 4570) hit his moped with great impact. As a result, Jitesh crashed on the road and suffered critical injuries. He died on the spot before any medical help could be provided to him.
Kalamna PSI S B Ale booked the driver of water tanker Yogiraj Shriram Kapse (34), resident of Plot No. 3, Mahalaxmi Nagar, under Sections 279, 338, 304(A) of the IPC and arrested him.
