Nagpur: Burglars struck at renowned gastroenterologist Dr Shrikant Mukewar’s residence in Shankar Nagar and decamped with three high-end watches of different brands worth Rs 5 lakh between July 29 and 31.
A resident of 386, Dandike Layout, Shankar Nagar, Dr Shrikant Mukewar (65) had gone to Jabalpur for an endoscopy camp. His mother, wife and servant were present in the house. Between July 29 and 31, the miscreant(s) took advantage of an open door and gained entry into the doctor’s residence. Once inside, the burglars straightaway went to the bedroom and laid their hands on three watches of different brands worth Rs 5 lakh kept in a cupboard. The theft came to notice when Dr Mukewar returned to Nagpur and found the costly watches missing.
Bajaj Nagar Police have registered a case under Sections 454, 457, 380 of the IPC and mounted a search to nab the burglars.
