Nagpur: An evil-minded youth raped a married woman with the threat of killing her son, shot video of the heinous act and blackmailed her for money. Shockingly, the girlfriend of the accused played a nasty role in the sordid episode. The accused has been booked but no arrest has been made so far.
The outrageous episode was enacted when the accused Ketan Keshav Dakhure (22), native of Kalampuri, Hingoli but presently staying at Veterinary College Hostel, Civil Lines, Nagpur, burst into the Jaripatka house of the 32-year old woman when she was alone around 8.30 pm on May 30, 2017. The accused raped the woman with threat of killing her son and also shot video of the act. Armed with the video, the accused Ketan threatened to upload it on Internet and took Rs 5000 from the woman. Moreover, Ketan demanded Rs 2 lakh from the woman for meeting the expenses of his girlfriend. The accused also told the woman to handover the money to a person named Durge at a fix place. In the meantime, the girlfriend of the accused phoned the victimised woman and warned her that if she failed to pay the money, the video would be made viral on social media. The ordeal of the woman continued till August 8 as the woman, fed up with the blackmailing, finally lodged a complaint with Jaripatka police.

Acting on the complaint, Jaripatka police constable Kamalakar booked the accused under Sections 376, 354(B), 384, 385, 506, 34 of the IPC read with Section 67(A) of IT Act and launched a probe.
