Nagpur: A prisoner from Chandrapur who was brought to Nagpur Central Jail on temporary transit died due to health complications on Wednesday morning.
The deceased inmate Kishore Uttamchand Virani (43), resident of Chhatrapati Nagar, near Gurudwara, Chandrapur, was brought to Nagpur Central Prison on temporary transit. During his lodging in Nagpur jail, health of Virani deteriorated due to some complications. He was taken to GMCH and admitted for treatment. However, around 7.40 am on Wednesday, doctors pronounced Virani dead during the course of treatment.
Dhantoli ASI Bhalavi, based on the information provided by Jail Guard Sadanand Bokad, has registered a case of accidental death and launched a detailed investigation into the matter.
