In 2010, Pratyusha Banerjee began appearing as the protagonist Anandi in the television series Balika Vadhu, first aired on the Colors TV channel. She won the role to appear as an older Anandi because of a five-year leap in the program’s storyline, through an SMS poll.
In the famous daily soap Balika vadhu soon you will start missing someone who made you smile & cry. Pratyusha Baneerjee aka Anandi has decided to leave the show. Before you ask why ? The reason is offer of a film. Or just to say it is a big banner film .Now Vikram Bhatt banner is not a small one.

There were rumours that she was unwell and thus unable to cope up with the hectic shooting schedules, her mother was unwell and so Pratyusha couldn’t dedicate as much time to the show, she was perpetually late on the sets etc.
While people had multiple theories for her decision to walk out of the show, the picture is getting clearer now. News is that Pratyusha is doing Vikram Bhatt’s next film and hence her decision to quit Balika Vadhu so that she concentrate on her career in Bollywood. Nagpur today wishes Pratyusha HFC-Happy Filmy career !!!!
