Nagpur: After Reliance Aviation, Adani group is also planning to set up an aerospace industry in Mihan SEZ of Nagpur. The dates of the beginning of project have not been revealed yet. However, the company is being said to be interested in investing in purchasing 100 acres of land in Mihan. It is also being stated that officials of the company visited the area a few days back to inspect the land. As informed by the officers of Mihan, the company is highly interested in establishing a project in Nagpur which may lead to development of Nagpur in a new Aviation hub.
It is being anticipated that the company will be starting the project SKAB Aviation company of Sweden.
The reliance Aviation group is to conduct its ground ceremony on 27th October. The project is set to become the largest greenfield aerospace park in the country, which will create thousands of jobs. The project involves a joint venture of France’s Dassault Aviation (DA) and Thales, in which Reliance will have 51% stake. RAL had entered a JV with DA in February 2017. The newspaper added, this will bring in the first tranche of foreign direct investment (FDI) in the country, with the French aircraft manufacturer amounting to Rs200 crore by August end. The Maharashtra Airport Development Company (MADC) will be the nodal agency for developing the aerospace park.
