The most awaited speech was of the Chief Guest, and as anticipated, he spoke the most inspiring words that these young entrepreneurs would use forever in their lives. The essence of his stimulating words was the list of a few lessons he asked the management students to follow. “Make mistakes but don’t forget to learn from them”, said the Wipro Chairman. “Have confidence and believe in yourself always. Don’t give up on yourself and don’t give up your conviction.” The one very uncommon lesson he shared was, “10 Rupees earned is far more valuable than 10 Rupees found. Earn what you need.” He urged them to strive for brilliance and to be distinguished always when he said, “Quest for excellence in whatever you do because excellence is not a habit, it’s an act.” He stressed on the importance of the need of more number of better engineers in India. “Engineering has always been a much respected career in India. But we must concentrate on improving the quality and number of engineers our country produces”, he said. His final words composed the most peculiar message he wanted to present to the students. “Don’t change your values and principles, but change your attitude when needed. Change! But don’t change”, concluded Azim Premji as the crowd’s applauds grew louder.

The medal winners for various subjects were the first ones to be felicitated. Incidentally, continuing the fervour of Women’s Day, all the medal winners constituted of all women candidates. For PGDM General and overall topper of the institute, Gold medal recipient was Neeti Rastogi and Silver medal recipient was Sonam Khare. For PGDM Finance, Gold medal recipient was Pooja Rajesh Kumar Singla and Silver medal recipient was Bhuvneshwari Devi Cheduvu. For Marketing, Gold medal recipient was Nikita Chaturvedi and Silver medal recipient was Divya Abraham. The only medal for the best outgoing student was given to Nidhi Gupta.

The degrees were presented to the students by the Chairman of IMT, Kamal Nath. The ceremony concluded with Rajendra Narkundkar guiding students to take the Management Oath. After the convocation procession left, the students let loose their zeal by throwing their Graduation Caps in the air in the very classic style. The gleeful atmosphere in and around the campus was evident as students, along with their families posed for photographs they would treasure for life.
