14-yr old boy robbed of Rs 20,000 at PNB Branch in Mankapur

Nagpur: Two unidentified conmen tricked and robbed a 14-year old boy at the counter of Punjab National Bank Branch in Mankapur area here on Thursday afternoon.

Sujal (14), son of Vikas Premdas Wankhede (37), resident of Plot No. 52, near New Mankapur Post Office, had gone to withdraw cash in the Punjab National Bank Branch on Jaripatka Road around 4 pm on Thursday. Vikas Wankhede is in milk business. Sujal withdrew Rs 66,000 and kept it at the counter.

At the same time, the two unidentified conmen approached Sujal and asked him to exchange a Rs 500 note. The goons diverted the attention of Sujal and slyly pilfered Rs 20,500 from Rs 66,000. By the time Sujal realised he was robbed it was too late as the two conmen had disappeared from the scene.

Mankapur PSI Atram has booked the two unidentified robbers under Sections 379, 34 of the IPC and searching for them.
