16-yr old boy falls from 4-storey building terrace while flying kite in Kalamna, dies

Nagpur: A 16-year old boy lost his life as he fell from terrace of a 4-storey building while flying kite. The tragedy occurred in Kalamna police jurisdiction on Makarsantranti day.

The deceased, Mangalsingh Powar, resident of Dipti Signal, Gopal Nagar, Chikhli Road, was enjoying kite flying from the terrace of a 4-storey building in the locality on Sunday, the Makarsankranti day. In the enthusiasm ‘O kaat,’ Mangalsingh suddenly lost control and came crashing down from the high-rise building around 6.30 pm. The critically injured Mangalsingh was rushed to New Era Hospital. However, he succumbed to his injuries around 7 pm during treatment.

Kalamna API Munde, on the basis of a complaint lodged by Adil Sheikh (19), resident of Telipura, has registered a case of accidental death and investigating the matter further.

In another incident, a 24-year old man, identified as Krupasingh Maravi, was found dead beneath the Mihan Bridge, opposite Swami Vivekanand Hospital, around 8.30 pm on Sunday. The deceased Krupasingh, native of Manikpur, Mandva, reportedly fell down from the bridge apparently while kite flying or catching it.

Sonegaon PSI Rathod, based on the complaint filed by Rajesh Jhamsingh Masram (21), has registered a case of accidental death. Further probe is on.
