Nagpur News : Two youths and a girl from Nagpur drowned in Kapileshwar Lake while they had been to a one day picnic at Kelvad in Saoner, around 36 kilometres away from the city on Saturday afternoon. Police said that a group of six friends-two boys and three girls- had gone had gone to picnic in which four girls however escaped luckily but failed to save their friends.
19-year-old Aakash Yadav from Rambagh, Ganjipeth resident Mahendra Sahoo and Sonali Gajbhiye of Nari road, both aged 21 were drowned.

Police said that all six friends were playing in the lake water when suddenly Yaav started drowning. Police said that the fiends had made a chain to pull out Yadav but slowly Sahoo and Gajbhiye drowned. Sensing danger, others-Harsha Yadav, Jaya Sharma and another named Vandana- immediately came out and saved each other.
An hour later, the girls later alerted Kelvad police station. Till late night, police were searching for the bodies in the lake.
