New Delhi: Cocaine smuggling is no more confined to dangerous cartels or the mafia. Call it unemployment or just pure fun, moms and daughters have begun getting into the seemingly lucrative business, until they get caught red handed.
A mother and her daughter have been arrested in different places for trying to smuggle cocaine hidden in an eye shadow box. Clever. . .isn’t it? NO. The 46 year old mother was arrested at Nagpur while receiving the parcel while the daughter was arrested from Goa, the parcel’s destination.
Reportedly the duo had tried smuggling 360 gms of cocaine from Trinidad and Tobago via the Indian Postal System which is estimated at a value of Rs.1.5 cr. So, next time you want to smuggle, hiding the consignment in an eye-shadow pallette box is not an option.
