Nagpur: Unidentified miscreants burgled cash and other valuables worth Rs 1.46 lakh from two parked cars in Imambada and Sitabuldi police jurisdictions on Thursday.
A resident of Plot No. 75, Ashirvad Nagar, Hudkeshwar Road, Sharad Madhukar Sable (42) had parked his Hyundai car (MH-49/U 4263) in front of Shankar Ashram near Medical College Square around 1 pm on Thursday. In the meantime, some unidentified goon smashed window glass of rear door of his car and decamped with a black coloured bag containing cash Rs 90,000, laptop worth Rs 35,000 and important documents.
Imambada PSI Patwadkar, based on Sharad Sable’s complaint, registered a case under Section 379 of the IPC and searching for the burglar.
In another incident, Sandeep Ramesh Patil (45), native of Nashik but currently staying at Sushil Complex, Hingna Road, parked his Swift DeZire Car (MH-15/EP 3393) near LIC Building, Shankar Nagar Square, and went to have tea and snacks at nearby stall. At the same time, unidentified miscreant broke glass at the driver side window of his car and lifted a bag containing a laptop, pen drive and other stuff collectively valued at Rs 21,500 and vanished from the spot.
Ambazari PSI R Meshram, acting on Sandeep Patil’s complaint, booked the unidentified burglar under Sections 379, 427 of the IPC. Cops have launched a search to nab the miscreant.
