Nagpur: In a miserable incident, 53 year old women allegedly died due to casual work from Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC)’s Garden Department.
Deceased was identified as Sadhna Puradbhat, resident of Indraprasta Nagari, Sai Apartments, Sonegaon.

According to the police reports, victim accompanied with her husband Shashikant Puradbhat met with a misfortune when their two wheeler hit trunk of a tree in between Akashwani square and GPO road in March this year. With severe injuries Sadhna was rushed to hospital where she succumbed to her injuries. Followed by which police registered a case of accidental death.
However when police sub-inspector G M Bhoyar, Sitabuldi police station started investigation, the matter came into light that, NMC’s Garden Department who was responsible for trimming, left the truck unshaken. Which resulted in this catastrophic incident.
Sitabuldi police has registered a case against NMC’s garden department and linked contractor under section 304 (A). Further details are awaited.
