Nagpur: In yet another hit-and run incident, a rashly driven vehicle knocked a pedestrian dead opposite Reliance Fresh, Shewalkar Gardens, on South Ambazari Road on Saturday afternoon. The driver of the killer vehicle fled the spot and being searched by cops.
A resident of Sant Tukdoji Nagar, behind IT Park, Subhash Nagar, Devidas Dashrath Gudadhe (52), was going walking around 12.30 pm on Saturday. As he reached in front of Reliance Fresh, Shewalkar Gardens, a recklessly driven Mahindra Bolero car hit Devidas and injured him fatally. He died on the spot. The unidentified driver of Bolero car fled the spot after the mishap fearing angry reaction by nearby people.
Bajaj Nagar ASI Vinod Kshirsagar, based on a complaint lodged by Pankaj Devidas Gusadhe (26), son of deceased, booked the Bolero driver under Sections 279, 338, 304(A) of the IPC and searching for him.
