Nagpur: In a bid to avenge on an old enmity, four goons launched a life-taking attack on a youth near railway line at Sanjay bag Colony in Yashodhara Nagar area recently.
The youth, identified as Hrithik Pande (20), a resident of Vinoba Bhave Nagar, was reportedly attacked with knives. He was rushed to Mayo Hospital. Cops booked accused Abid, Juber Abdul Karim Qureshi, both residents of Yashodhara Nagar, Fardeen alias Sherkhan Mujib Khan, and Afzal alias Mastan Chaus, both residents of Indira Mata Nagar, in this connection.
Hrithik, his friends Sheikh Amjad Shaikh Shabbir (19), a resident of Teka and Sayyed Asif, were playing Ludo King game on a mobile phone around 6.15 pm.
Abid came with other accused youths and suddenly attacked him. Hrithik,Sheikh Ahmedand Sayyed Asif tried to run away.The accused chased and caught Hrithik and stabbed him.
Hrithik was admitted to Mayo Hospital where he is battling for his life.
After recording the statement of Sheikh Amjad,Yashodhara Nagar Police registered an offence under Sections 307, 326, 143, 147,148 and 149 of the Indian Penal Code, read with Section 135 of Maharashtra Police Act, against the accused youths. API DAHud is investigating the case.
