Nagpur News: The Governor of Maharashtra K. Sankaranarayanan on Monday (21 May) gave the ‘Anti-Terrorism Day Pledge’ to the staff and officers of Raj Bhavan, police personnel posted at Raj Bhavan and the Public Works staff on the occasion of ‘Anti-Terrorism Day’. Secretary to the Governor Vikas Chandra Rastogi and other officers were present on the occasion.
The Death Anniversary of former Prime Minister of India, the late Rajiv Gandhi, is observed as Anti Terrorism Day.
The Governor led the officers and employees in expressing the resolve of the nation ‘to oppose all forms of terrorism and violence’ and to promote ‘peace, social harmony and understanding’ among fellow citizens on this occasion.
Earlier the Governor offered floral tribute to the photograph of the late Rajiv Gandhi.
