The Nagpur museum itself is worth viewing and visiting once at least. It is a heritage building, Built by the British over 150 years ago, it was famous once as ‘Ajab Bangla’. Earlier, at least Nagpur schools were taking care to take their students there annually, this practise has also stopped .

“The museum has a rich collection of not just historical artefacts, but also flora and fauna of Central India. It has an anthropological gallery containing huge collection of stuffed animals and dedicated section on birds, reptiles and mammals, which have been stuffed and preserved in their original shapes and sizes. Natural and cultural heritage still remains little known by known residents too.

The museum also houses a well-stocked library. Ajab Bangla (Central Museum of Nagpur)is open on Tuesday to Sunday from 10 AM to 5PM except on Mondays and public holidays.

The present day Curator Dr. Virag Sontakke has taken a lead in organizing such out of the box projects.

Don’t miss this opportunity to view both the paintings and the museum. The paintings are on sale as well, at very attraactive price….25% less than the price marked for Mumbai.

The exhibition is open till 8th October.
