Russian President Vladimir Putin met Prime Minister Narendra Modi upon his arrival in New Delhi on Thursday evening.
‘Welcome to India, President Putin. Looking forward to our deliberations, which will further enhance India-Russia friendship,’ Modi tweeted with photos of him meeting Putin.
Earlier, the Russian President was received by External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj.

The 19th India-Russia Annual Bilateral Summit will take place in New Delhi on Friday.
