Bishop Cotton School’s ex principal accused of Rs 1.4 cr fraud, cops begin probe

Nagpur: The famous Bishop Cotton School has been mired into controversy as Sitabuldi police have rounded up its former principal and her kin in connection with Rs 1.40 crore fraud between April 2015 and June 2015 during her tenure in school.

Present Principal of Dharampeth based school Vikas M Kolhekar has also alleged that ex-principal Mangla Bhalerao (62), her spouse Samuel and their daughter Tanushree had presented fake birth certificate before the school to extend her term as the principal.

Kolhekar alleged that that besides submitting fake birth certificate, Mangla Bhalerao has also misused her position and defrauded the school of Rs 1,40,74,297Cr with the help of fabricated papers.
