The Common Proficiency Test (CPT) for admissions to Chartered Accountancy would be held on June 16. About 1600 candidates have filled up application forms for CPT from Nagpur. Five centres have been named for the CPT.
The CPT is held for XII pass students for admissions to CA. The exam is held based on optional questions with 200 marks. The subjects include Mercantile Law, Accountancy, Economics and Mathematics, and Statistics. The first session of CPT would be from 9.30 am to 12.30 pm and the second session from 2 pm to 4 pm. The five exam centres are GS College, Hislop College, Anna Saheb Gundawar College, VMV, and Dhanwate National College.
Now-a-days, the class XII toppers are opting for CA. The students have been seen attracting towards Chartered Accountancy and the number of students desiring to become Chartered Accountants has been showing a steady increase. In the future, too, the number is likely to grow manifold if the current trend is considered a yardstick.
