Noted singer Bibhabendu Bhattacharya and Anita Pal to perform at Sai Sabhagruha

Nagpur News: Nagpur ” WELL-KNOWN Bengali singer from Kolkata Bibhabendu Bhattacharya and noted Rabindra Sangeet exponent Anita Pal will present ‘Adhunik bangle gaan’ and ‘Rabindra Sangeet’ here at Sai Sabhagruha, near Wockhardt Hospital, North Ambazari Road, Shankar Nagar, on Sunday, October 20 at 7 pm.

The musical programme has been jointly organised by Bengali Association, Bengali Education Society and Saraswat Sabha Library to mark the occasion of Vijaya Sammelan. The entry to the programme is
free.

Anita Pal, who has a master degree in commerce, has been trained under the watchful eyes of legendary Rabindra singer late Suchitra Mitra. Her two music albums — Kannahashir Doldolano and Janani
Janmobhumishcha — were acclaimed by Bengali music lovers.

Bibhabendra Bhattacharya has earned his name in Adhunik Bangla Gaan of late Hemant Mukherjee and others. Besides, he also sings Rabindra Sangeet and other form of Bengali music. Bhattacharya is a regular performer on Tara Muzik, Kolkata Doordarshan, Zee Bangla, ETV and other Bengali channels. A Sangeet Visharad in vocal classical and Rabindra Sangeet, Bhattacharya was groomed and appreciated by veteran classical singers like Pt Ajoy Chakraborty, Ustad Rashid Khan and celebrated Rabindra sangeet singer Srikant Acharya.

Bengali Association President Pradip Kumar Maitra, Secretary Bidyut Chakraborty and Dr Tapan Chakraborti, Pradip Ganguly of Bengali Education Society and Kamalesh Ganguly (Benuda) of Saraswat Sabha Library, have appealed all for attending the musical programme and Vijayadashami celebration.

A souvenir of Shri Durga Puja by the Bengali Association ‘Uttaran’ will also be released on the occasion by Rashbehari Chakraborty, Deputy Director General of Mine Safety, Government of India.
