13 booked for illegally using sim cards

Lakadganj police have booked 13 people for allegedly using fake sim cards of Uninor Company on Tuesday. The accused illegally used sim cards between October 2011 and November 19, 2013.

Among the accused are the owner of new RIya Internet Cafe, Manewada Road; Vijay Gaurishankar Shende, owner of Sai Mobile Shoppe, behind Sagar Beer Bar; owner of Nadeem Music Centre; Shrikant Dalmale, owner of Shreyash Computer, near Priya Xeroz; Anup Dhawad, owner of Balaji Telecom Agency, Nandanvan; owner of Roshan Agencies  1271, Saibaba Apartment, Vaishali Nagar; owner of Sheel Agencies and holders of mobile phone numbers 8857064466, 7385256916, 8857853677, 7843026088, and 8856026656.

The accused in alliance with sim card distributor used the cards after submitting Ramesh Almalkar’s voter’s ID card with the cap form and also forged his signature.

Lakadganj police booked all the accused and registered an offence under Sections 465, 468, 471, 420 and 34 of the IPC.
