Karemore had even submitted memorandums to the Public Works Department (PWD) and other departments during the Winter Session of Maharashtra Legislature held in Nagpur. He had strongly demanded action against the contractor Raja Dronkar.
In the same context, Mohan Karemore had gone to PWD office. However, the contractor Raja Dronkar allegedly accosted him and resorted to abusing and beating Karemore. Dronkar allegedly threatened Karemore that he (Karemore) will face consequences if any complaint is lodged against him or any information is sought under RTI. Karemore immediately rushed to Sadar Police Station and lodged a complaint against Dronkar. Police have registered a non-cognisible offence in the matter.
