Irked students demand RTMNU authorities take action against Mahalaksmi Jagdamba college college

College admin fleeces students by demanding hefty fees even though college is not RTMNU registered.

On Monday, December 13, the aggrieved students of the banned Mahalaksmi Jagdamba college, being run at Jhansi Rani square  met with the Registrar Dr. Ashok Gomase of Rashtrasant Tukdoji Maharaj University (RTMNU)  demanding action from the NU administration against the erring college Management.

The students of first year Master of Fashion Design (MFD) under the aegis of Maharastra Navnirman Sena(MNS) gheraod the Registrar’s Chamber’s in the afternoon. The students explained their situation and alleged that the college authorities did not provide the admission cards for the first semester exam of MFD, despite charging examination fees and even late fee.

Registrar Ashok Gomase informed them that the students don’t have admission in university. They are not enrolled with the university, and nothing can be done as the matter of the banned college is subjudice.

Vice Chancellor Dr. Vilas Sapkal was not present at the University, when the students came with their appeal.

The college run by NCP leader Uday Tekade admitted over 200 students by charging fees from Rs 5000 to Rs 15000 for its various courses, despite being banned by NU on June 7 last year.

A Police complaint has been filed against the college management on January 10.
