A man died on the spot when the vehicle he was riding was hit by a speeding truck near Jalaram Temple in Queta Colony under Kalamna Police Station jurisdiction.

The accident occurred on Saturday. The victim has been identified as Manikrao Vidane (42), resident of Nandanvan. Manikrao was working in Mahindra and Mahindra Company as a Salesman. On Saturday morning, he was proceeding to Mauda to meet a customer. When Manikrao reached near Jalaram Mandir in Queta Colony, a recklessly driven truck hit him resulting his death on the spot. Kalamna police reached the spot and after completing paper formalities, sent body of Manikrao to Mayo Hospital for post-mortem. However, whether the truck driver was arrested or not could not be ascertained. Police are probing the matter further.
