Fatode had negotiated a deal with Sanjay Dargan for the same plot at the cost of Rs 5 crore by convincing Sanjay Darjan that the plot belonged to him. The accused also received Rs 25,00,000 from Sanjay Darjan as an advance.

Sadar police have booked seven persons on the charges of cheating and forgery. The 7 accused, by preparing bogus documents in the name of a dead woman, defrauded a man of Rs 25,00,000 in a land deal. The accused include accomplices of a gangster and are associated with politics. Ambajhari Police have also previously booked the accomplices of the gangster in another cheating and forgery case.

According to police, the complainant Sanjay Omprakash Dargan (51) is resident of 7th Floor, Amrata Manor, Civil Lines, Nagpur having an office at 26 A-2, Palm Road also in Civil Lines. The accused Prashatnt Nitnavre, Gitesh alias Monty Gandecha, Nadim Ahmed alias Lucky Khan, and Sanjay Fatode work in his office. The four employees of Sanjay Dargan connived with broker Vishnukant Dayma, broker Khan and a man named Thakur and prepared bogus Agreement to Sale documents in the name the deceased Chhaya Gondhalekar, owner of a plot of land number 15, Shradhhanand Peth, Nagpur during the period from February 2013 to February 2014. The seven accused then got the bogus land documents signed and sealed from a Notary and approached Sanjay Dargan for the land deal knowing fully well that the documents were forged. The accused negotiated a deal for the dead woman’s land to the tune of Rs 5 crore and also received Rs 25,00,000 by cash and cheques as an advance against the land deal.
Sanjay Dargan lodged a complaint with the Sadar Police Station against all the seven accused after coming to know the fraud and cheating of him. Sadar PSI Godbole has booked the 7 accused under Sections 420, 468, 471, 120 (B) of the IPC and is probing the matter further.
Meanwhile, one of the accused Sanjay Fatode’s crime history got exposed. Fotode has forcibly grabbed the said plot of land and also put up his company’s name board at the plot. DEAD WOMAN’S SON, DAUGHTER WERE THRASHED BY FATODE’S HENCHMEN:
The deceased Chhaya Gondhalekar’s son and daughter leave in a foreign country. After their mother’s death, both had arrived in Nagpur for selling the plot. During their stay in Nagpur, they came to know that Sanjay Fatode had gobbled up the plot and had put up his company’s board at the plot. Fatode had even deployed bouncers at the plot. The bouncers had abused and thrashed Chhaya’s son. When he had lodged a complaint with Ambajhari Police Station against Fatode, the gangster Santosh Ambekar’s name openly figured in the case.
