Showering cool respite on the hot afternoon, the weather experienced a pleasant shift in Nagpur on Tuesday evening, the time when large number of citizens turned out in religious colors to mark Hanuman Jayanti. The showers clubbed with strong winds toned down the temperatures to offer cool breeze. By evening, the city saw remarkable decline in the mercury.

The procession taken out on Hanuman Jayanti was spirited with frolic as the sun sets.
The devotees performed Hanuman Janmotsav Abhishek, a religious ritual to grace the god. The temple has been beautifully decorated with lights and fountains to enthuse the devotees. The organizers and office-bearers have made arrangements to make sure that the devotees observe the Birth Anniversary of Lord Hanuman with religious zeal and enthusiasm.
The Friends Colony Mandir Trust is one of many religious organisations who have organized programmes on Hanuman Jayanti. Shri Ayyappa Sewa Samiti held the Vishnu and Hanuman Jayanthi Celebrations at Shri Harihar Dharm Santhan Temple, Krida Bharti Foundation Day and Hanuman Jayanthi Celebrations were held at Dada Saheb Dawate High School. The Veer Hanuman Temple had Kirtan at Ujjwal Society at Narendra Nagar.
