Nagpur News: Schools run by Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) came out with a sterling performance in the SSC examination the results of which were announced on Tuesday (June 17). The NMC runs a total of 28 schools out of which 8 are Marathi medium, 11 Hindi medium, and 9 Urdu medium. Of these schools, 23 threw a result with 75 percent students passing the exam including 4 schools – Bar Sheshrao Wankhede Vidyaniketan, Sane Guruji Municipal Urdu Middle School, Pension Nagar Municipal Urdu Middle School and Kundanlal Gupta Nagar Municipal Urdu Middle School – achieving 100 percent results. Similarly, 10 schools scored results in the range of 80-99 percent, a press release issued by NMC said.
The press release further claimed that the SSC result is not only statistically outstanding but meritoriously superlative. Ruchika Dhole of Durganagar Municipal Marathi Middle School scored 90.08 percent marks while Manisha Patle of Valmikinagar Municipal Hindi Middle School and Rozina Tarannum Mohd Hussain bagged 90 percent marks and 88.8 percent marks respectively. Similarly, 43 students took their tally of marks to over 80 percent.
A total of 1999 students of NMC-run schools appeared for the SSC exam conducted by Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (MSBSHSE) out of which 1546 passed. The successful students include 737 girls and 810 boys.
