At the time when State and Central Governments are trying to have more police posts in sensitive areas, police post in one of the most sensitive localities of Nagpur, Ganga Jamuna police post is ‘LOCKED’ for last 3 days.
Such a shocking allegation was made in city circles and when Nagpur Today scribes’ team visited the spot to know the truth and found it really locked. The police staff were seen abandoned in the premises. Not only this but a few liquor bottles were also seen to top the story. If this is the situation at police post where can the aggrieved go for narrating their plight is a million dollar question.

This being a well-known red light area in central India, the locality is always teemed with ‘all sorts of people’. It is also alleged that many minor girls are sold here and brought into ‘the trade’. Many criminal elements come here for their comfort and luxury. The police post was opened in the area taking into consideration all such factors. But now as this police post is locked what things can happen can be anybody’s guess.
