Deputy Mayor Munna Pokulwar paid tributes to Padmashri Shyamlalji Gupta who penned the memorable song “Jhanda Ucha Rahe Hamara Vijayi Vishwa Tiranga Nyara” on his 118th birth anniversary today (September 9). The Deputy Mayor visited the Memorial based at Dosar Bhavan Square, Central Avenue and remembered Gupta by laying a wreath on behalf of Nagpur city.
Pokulwar gracefully recalled Padmashri Shyamlalji Gupta’s contribution in freedom struggle and said the song “Jhanda Ucha Rahe Hamara Vijayi Vishwa Tiranga Nyara” continues to inspire generations after generations.
