Goods worth lakhs of rupees stolen from truck

Unidentified thieves had managed to cut open the tarpaulin tied to protect the goods in a truck which was standing in front of a godown (warehouse) in Wadhamna area and stole goods worth Rs 1, 26, 000 (Rupee One lakh twenty six thousand).

According to police sources, the owner of the truck identified as Pramod Chauhan aged 23 years and a resident of Chandurbazaar Amravati lodged a complaint with Wadi Police Station that on February 21, 2015, he had brought his truck bearing RTO registration No. MH-40/Y-4286 to the ware-house of A R Logistics.

His truck contained boxes of Brooke Bond and Kisan Maggi Juice. Between February 21, 2015 to February 22, 2015, unidentified thieves had stolen boxes worth Rs 1, 26, 000 (Rupee One lakh twenty six thousand) after tearing open the tarpaulin cover.

When the driver and owner of the truck inspected his truck, he found the tarpaulin torn and goods worth Rs 1, 26, 000 stolen from his truck.

The Wadi Police has registered a case under relevant sections against unidentified thieves and are investigating further.
