Chairman Shingare urges NMC contractors to bring qualitative change in development works

The Nagpur Municipal Corporation Contractors Association, led by Sheikh Ramzan and Convener Gousuddin, felicitated the newly elected Chairman of Standing Committee and NIT Trustee Ramesh Shingare at Civil Lines office of the civic body.

Replying to the felicitation, Shingare exhorted the Association members to bring qualitative change while carrying out development works. “My cooperation will be with those contractors who bring quality in development works. The present tender system will be overhauled and made transparent. Similarly, more and more measures will be initiated to increase revenue of NMC so that the financial situation of both, the civic body and contractors, get improved.

The NMC Contractors Association chief Sheikh Ramzan informed Shingare that the contractors faced a difficult time due to enforcement of Local Body Tax (LBT). The LBT should be scrapped immediately for the much sought relief of contractors. Similarly, the Chairman should cooperate in clearing the bills of works done by the contractors in time.

Others who were present on the occasion include former Mayor Kishore Dorle, Association members Vinod Dandare, Raju Tajne, Chandramani Yadav, Raju Wankar, Prashant Deshmukh, Haribhau Borkar, Manapure, Sunil Abhichandani, Sanjay Ramteke, Ratan Sahare, Nashim Anwar, Pise apart from Sheikh Ramzan and Gousuddin.
