Nagpur: A house owner was robbed of gold ornaments worth around Rs 5 lakh when some unidentified burglars targeted his house between February 28 and March 19.
The house owner Moresh Devaji Bhanarkar (58), resident of Plot No. 33, Renuka Nivas, Manish Nagar, along with family had gone to Navi Mumbai on February 28. Taking advantage of the situation, burglars struck at his house. The goons broke open the latch of house door and gained entry. After entering the house, the thieves cleaned the almirah with gold ornaments worth Rs 4,96,000 and decamped. The theft came to notice when Moresh Bhanarkar and his family returned to Nagpur on March 19.
Sonegaon API Yede, acting on a complaint of Moresh Bhanarkar, registered an offence against the unidentified burglars under Sections 454, 457, 380 of IPC and searching them.
