AAP’s second guarantee to the people of Nagpur – quality education (guarantee of education)
Nagpur: The Aam Aadmi Party is going to contest all the seats on its own to give the Delhi model to the people in the coming Municipal Elections. The Aam Aadmi Party has given the guarantee to the people of Nagpur on June 18 to provide 15,000 liters of pure water free of cost. Today we are giving another guarantee – quality education. We all know that the Aam Aadmi Party government has made radical changes in the field of education in Delhi to provide education of international standard. By making the education budget 22% by Delhi Government, Government Schools have been made of better quality than private schools.
As a result, last year, Four Lakh students withdrew their names from private schools and entered government schools. The results of Delhi’s schools started getting the best. Government school students started getting admission in IIT, AIIMS. Now we are preparing to bring this Delhi model to Nagpur through Nagpur Municipal Corporation.
A look at the situation of Nagpur’s municipal schools
– What happens – Nagpur Municipal Corporation had a population of 1.5 million till 1995.
– Total 274 – There were 293 primary schools + 17 high schools + 2 junior colleges.
– Nearly 90,000 students were studying in this school. And the number of teachers was 3500.
– What did the BJP government in Nagpur city do ?
– For the last 15 years BJP was in power in NMC.
– The BJP Chief Minister of Maharashtra was from Nagpur for five years.
– For the last eight years, the Union government and senior ministers are from Nagpur.
– The population is around 40 lakhs. This means that the population has increased by 200% compared to 1995.
– The budget has increased by almost 1000%. The budget for 2021-22 is Rs. 2200 crore.
– The education budget is only 3% now.
-150 schools of the corporation were deliberately closed.
– Total number of schools left now – 137 (out of which 20 schools will be closed now)
– Total number of students 19000, total number of teachers – 900.
– Budget is reduced, buildings in poor condition, no facilities, no toilets, bad classrooms, n9 playgrounds, etc.
– Teachers have no training, no trained teachers for English, Maths and Science.
– They work in other government projects.
– Many schools have opened local corporator offices or corporation offices.
And some schools have metro stations, some are closed.
– Some BJP office bearers run their private schools there by paying the school rent to corporations.
– Population and city grew but no new schools were built in the new area.
What we will do – your government – honest government
– There are 156 wards in Nagpur – 156 quality (similar to Delhi model) schools will be built.
– Education budget will be more than 15% of the total budget.
– Arrange for up-to-date training of teachers.
– Upgradation of school buildings and facilities (buildings, laboratories, classrooms, smart boards, playgrounds and other facilities)
– Implement a good quality curriculum.
– Parents meetings will be held to give confidence to the parents to take their participation.
– Will appeal to the public and seek the cooperation of the public.
– Free tuition classes will be started
From Where will be funds raised?
– Education budget will be more than 15% of the entire budget and will be spent honestly .
– Saving 100 crore in water supply scheme – Frequent construction of roads and sidewalks will reduce the cost by quality enhancement.
– We will save money by ending corruption.
– Re-raised funds through advertising and People’s participation.
