Aapli Bus crushes man to death, son injured in Nagpur’s Reshimbagh area

Nagpur: A man was killed and his son seriously injured when a speeding Aapli Bus of Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) hit a two-wheeler near Prerna College in Reshimbagh area on Sunday.

The deceased was identified as Dinanath Raut. His son Shrirang sustained grievous injuries in the mishap.

According to police, the bus (MH-40/BG-1084) driven by Guneshwar Shivaji Sahare, was heading towards Bahadura from Sitabuldi at around 2.30 pm. Dinanath and Shrirang were on the two-wheeler. They lost the balance of the two-wheeler and came under the rear wheels of the bus.

Profusely bleeding Dinanath and Shrirang were rushed to a hospital where Dinanath succumbed to the injuries. Sakkardara police have registered a case against the bus driver.

Hit-and-run: Speeding truck runs over youth in Yashodhara Nagar

A speeding truck ran over and killed a 32-year-old man in a hit-and-run accident that occurred in Yashodhara Nagar police station area.

The deceased has been identified as Shyamkumar alias Rajkumar Maroti Khambalkar from Lalganj.

According to police, the accident occurred around 9 pm on Saturday. Shyamkumar and his friend, ShubhamTarnekar, were walking to a Mahaprasad event near Vitabhatti square when Shyamkumar was struck by the truck. The driver fled the scene immediately after the accident. Shyamkumar was rushed to Mayo Hospital, where doctors declared him dead on arrival. The police have registered a case of a fatal accident.

3 female medical students injured in mishap in MIDC

Three female medical students were injured after being struck by a speeding Tata Sumo in the MIDC Police Station area.

According to police, the accident occurred on Sunday around 2 pm near the Vasudev Nagar Metro Station. The injured students are Tanvi Indrajit Balla (20), Driya Naresh Aggarwal (20), both from Wardhaman Nagar; and Anushka Vinay Bandawar (19), from Tata Capital Heights, Ajni. All three are currently receiving treatment at a hospital, with reports indicating that Driya’s condition is critical.

The police have filed an accident case against the Tata Sumo driver, Manoj Channuji Nimje (43), from Shanti Nagar.
