Nagpur: Bhivapur police squad, during their nakabandi drive in Mauja Wani Shivar, between 7.30 am and 8 am on Sept 4, arrested Devidas alias Tapri Latunji Bhagat, 50, resident of Nand, accused of illicitly trafficking liquor by his motor cycle No. MH-40/ AD 1127.
When checked, the police recovered 48 nips of country liquor valuing about Rs 2,400. The police then seized the liquor and vehicle, all valuing Rs 34,400, and registered a case under section 65 (E), (A) of Mumbai Prohibition Act against the accused with Bhivapur police station. Further investigation is being conducted by APSI Doifode.
The seizure was executed under the guidance of SP Dr Arti Singh by Bhivapur PS PI Manish Divate and staff members Abhimanyu Doifode, Kakulte and Ravi Frkade.
