Accused transporting illicit liquor arrested

Nagpur: Kalmeshwar police arrested an accused for transport of illicit liquor under its jurisdiction on Oct 21, between 11.15 pm and 12 am.

The police laid a nakabandi and arrested Akshay Arun Thakre, 19 years, resident of Junki Saoli, along with his vehicle No. MH 40/ AJ 3107 and recovered 40 nips of unauthorized foreign liquor valuing Rs 5,200, making a total seizure of Rs 35,000.

The police have registered a case against him under sections 65 (e) of Mumbai Liquor Act. PI Madame and his staff execution the action under the guidance of SP Dr Arati Singh.
