Association of Coaching Institutes (ACI) urges Indian Government to investigate NEET fiasco in detail, take stringent action against culprits whether it is Officials, parents, network of leakage mafias, and come out with proper solution to give Justice to deserving students.
ACI comprises of the educators, and are busy 24 hours in carving the students results and assuring that our students work hard, make minimum mistakes and score higher in NEET. This resulted in unprecedented NEET result from Vidarbha in NEET 2024. Hundreds of our students today crossed expected 579 marks cut off.

However, in recent NEET fiasco, we are witnessing hundreds of our students missing admissions in Government medical Colleges as cut off will further increase by at least 25 to 30 marks for Government Medical Colleges mainly because of on going fiasco. This is happening as AIR 42,000 which required score of 580 last year is requiring NEET score of 635 year. The number of students scoring score of 630 increased from 13,571 to 47,810 There is increase in 34,000 students who are highly suspected to be involved in malpractices as media reports. 200% Cheaters are expected to bag Government medical sets this year, and t deny right of admission of 34,000 deserving students to Government Medical seats.
For Vidarbha students, we are already witnessing cut off NEET score for Government Medical Colleges rising from 460 before 2014 to 579 last year because of cancellation of Vidarbha quota. Vidarbha being backward area of Maharashtra mostly covered by jungles and naxlite moments. There existed separate 70% Vidarbha Quota ( out of Maharashtra 85% quota) for Medical Colleges coming under the Districts of Vidarbha before 2014 and it was suddenly removed by the Government of Maharashtra. Hardworking, poor Vidarbha students suffered lot due to this NEET Fiasco which is further expected to increase cut off score to 605 denying admissions to thousands of Vidarbha students in Government Medical Colleges.
Also, NTA is not publishing State-wise ranking list these days. It is required to have complete transparency in the system and to avoid any malpractices in admission process.
NEET 2024 Fiasco:
1. There are evidence of paper leakages in different parts of Country.
2. Unprecedented 40,116 NEET students crossed NEET score 638 against 10,529, and 7063 in NEET 2023 and NEET 2022 respectively. Notably, paper difficulty level in all these exams is comparable.
3. 2250 students crossed NEET score of 700 in 2024 against 215 of last year denying toppers admission in prominent AIIMS.
4. It is expected that more than 50% Government College Seats will be occupied by cheaters denying admissions to worthy students.
ACI demands
1. Punish the guilty whether it is Officials, Mafias, or parents.
2. Bring out the proper solution to this fiasco under guidelines of Supreme Court to rectify this issue immediately.
3. Restore Vidarbha quota for Justice to Vidarbha students.
4. Publish NEET State-wise Results list to bring transparency in system.
5. Give monetary compensation to all affected students for their mental trauma.
6. NEET exam should be online to prevent further paper leakages.
ACI Action Plan:
1. Agitation against Maharashtra State Government for restoration of Vidarbha quota by taking support from Vidarbha level organizations and prominent Political parties.
2. Filing PIL in High Court for restoration of Vidarbha quota in Government Medical Colleges.
