Acid attack on ninth standard girl in Amravati

Amravati: In a ghastly incident a ninth standard girl of Govt High school was attacked with acid by three youths when she was returning home. Police have arrested two youths on suspicion.

According to report, the incident took place at Irwin square at around 6 pm. She was returning on her bicycle when some unidentified motorcycle borne youths threw acid on her and fled from the place. The people around immediately took her to government hospital where she is being treated. The girl’s half face has been badly burnt due to the acid while on hand and shoulder also there are burn injuries. As per the information given by the victim, the police have arrested two on suspicion. Further investigations are going on.
