Nagpur: Days after low-cost flight Go First suspended its operations, Nagpur has got additional flights for certain routes.
In the latest, Qatar Airways on Wednesday announced that starting from May 15, Nagpur-Doha-Nagpur flight will be operational on all seven days. Earlier the flight was operating only four days a week.
Not just this, starting from May 20 to October 28, Air India has decided to operate an additional flight on the Mumbai-Nagpur-Mumbai sector. The developments were confirmed by Vice Chairman and Managing Director of MD, Maharashtra Airport Development Company Ltd Deepak Kapoor.
Go First had announced that it was suspending its flight operations from May 3 which caused cancellation of hundreds of flights across the country, leading to overbooking and increase in airfares of all other aircraft companies.
The National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT) on Thursday admitted Go First’s voluntary plea to initiate an insolvency resolution process.
